I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and an Accredited Registrant of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (MNCPS Acc.). In my practice, I consistently adhere to the Society’s ethical framework and maintain their standards of good practice, ensuring that every client receives professional and respectful care.
I specialise in grief and bereavement counselling, providing support for individuals coping with various forms of loss, including the loss of a pet, home, job, or loved one. Recognising that grieving is a personal experience without a universal approach, I offer a safe and respectful environment where clients can explore their thoughts and emotions at a comfortable pace.
My unwavering compassion for individuals fuels my commitment to offering support as they navigate the challenging moments in their lives. I recognise how important it is to be present for others, especially when they are facing adversity or loss. This deep sense of empathy guides my approach, ensuring that each person receives the understanding and care they deserve.
Through my own personal experiences, I have come to understand that having someone by your side offering comfort amidst tears and fears can make emotions and situations feel less overwhelming. This realisation inspires my strong desire to create a safe, supportive space where individuals can freely share and express their innermost feelings without judgement. It is my aim to foster an environment in which everyone feels heard and valued as they work through their difficulties.
Alongside my private practice, I am deeply engaged with an organisation committed to assisting the family members and friends of individuals affected by alcohol and drug dependence. My engagement within this organisation are multifaceted and focus on delivering comprehensive support to those impacted by a loved one's substance use. My professional involvement includes working directly with individuals on a one-to-one basis or as couples. Through this personalised approach, I provide guidance and support tailored to each person's specific needs, challenges, and concerns. The goal is to help them navigate the complexities associated with supporting someone struggling with substance dependence.
I facilitate a monthly support group and organise workshop sessions held at the centre of Salisbury, Wiltshire, designed to offer psychoeducation. These gatherings create a safe, supportive environment where participants can share their experiences, learn effective coping strategies, and connect with others facing similar circumstances. The group setting encourages open dialogue and fosters a sense of community among those affected by alcohol and drug dependence within their families and friendships.
